Community Foundation receives national accreditation

The Sioux Falls Area Community Foundation recently was accredited with Community Foundations National Standards®—the highest standards for philanthropic excellence.
To receive accreditation with National Standards, the Sioux Falls Area Community Foundation submitted our policies and procedures to a rigorous review of 26 National Standards in six key areas of community foundation operations, including donor services, investment management, grantmaking and administration.
"We hold ourselves to a high standard, because we know that trust is earned," said Andy Patterson, CEO of the Community Foundation. "We welcomed the opportunity to submit our work for review, to ensure we are doing everything we can to be good stewards and community partners."

It isn't mandatory to receive this accreditation - but it is proof of our commitment to excellence in all that we do. Our accreditation provides assurance that we have sound policies and practices in place. In short, it means we meet the highest standards for local giving.
"This is just another step we've taken to show that we are a trusted resource in Sioux Falls," Patterson said.
The Community Foundations National Standards® program was established in 2000 in cooperation with the Council on Foundations. For information about National Standards, visit www.cfstandards.org.
